Covid PCR Testing - A comprehensive supported service

We provide a simple service (Monday to Friday) which is best suited to patients resident close to our general medical practice in Chelsea. We use self-administered PCR testing. Self-administered tests are simple to use and come with complete instructions. Our laboratories offer a 24-hour turnaround time which is generally assisted by us receiving specimens before 10.30am. The cost is £195 per test.

GENERAL PCR TESTING

This applies to patients who wish to undergo a test that is not travel related. Usually this is to test for the virus if covid infection is suspected or to demonstrate absence of infection.

TRAVEL TESTING

For Departures From UK
 

The only regulatory consideration is the requirements of the country you are travelling to.  If there is a requirement for PCR testing we can do this as above. Often the timing of the tests is critical.

For Arrivals To UK

From March 18th 2022 there are has been requirements for testing on arrival in the UK

WARNING: The main problems that we encounter are to do with patients providing incomplete or inaccurate information on the forms that are required for travel related testing. The laboratories are under UK government instruction not to process tests unless the information is complete and accurate. Many people find the process stressful and we advise a careful approach to completion of any forms. We are happy to advise and share our experience but cannot take any responsibility for errors with the forms or any other aspects of the testing or any of the rules about testing as they are sometimes complex, outside our control and subject to change without warning.
