Chelsea Medical is open as usual from 9.00am - 6pm Monday to Friday. We remain covid aware as we are still seeing a small number of patients who are significantly unwell with covid virus infections. We have a strict covid protocol. We are a small practice with a small number of patients in premises with plenty of space. We are not part of a larger medical complex or hospital. 24 hour cover is accessible via our main telephone number 020 7589 2353.
We see patients for face to face consultations and also provide remote consultations by telephone or zoom when there may be an infection risk. e-mailed photographs are very valuable for some problems such as rashes and skin lesions. We are still distancing as necessary in consultations whilst maintaining the highest clinical standards.
We are NOT doing face to face consultations with patients suffering from symptoms of Covid-19 who have not done a negative lateral flow test on the day of the consultation.

We also offer reliable private antibody blood tests and PCR throat swab (antigen) testing for the Covid-19 virus. For the throat swab test you will need to obtain a self testing kit from our practice (non-returnable). Self testing is simple and there are full instructions in the kit. Please telephone or email for further information. If you are a new patient you should telephone and arrange to register on line.
If you require urgent face to face attention for a Covid-19 infection you should dial 999 or if it is less urgent go to the 111 website. If this is not providing you with necessary help then you should ring 111 or telephone us on 020 7589 2353 for further advice and help.

COVID TESTING – A COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORTED SERVICE
We provide a simple service (Monday to Friday) which is best suited to patients resident close to our general medical practice in Chelsea. We use self-administered PCR testing. Self-administered tests are simple to use and come with complete instructions.
Our laboratories offer a 24-hour turnaround time which is generally assisted by us receiving specimens before 10.30am. The cost is £195 per test.
