HRT Supply Shortages

The UK is currently experiencing shortages of some types of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) – these are either related to manufacturing shortages or supply issues. We have been informed that pharmaceutical companies and their suppliers are addressing these issues.

For some HRT, we are able to prescribe equivalent preparations or brands which provide a similar dose to the ones you have been using. In some cases, we may need to prescribe oestrogen and progesterone separately in order to find the closest match and for this you will need to make an appointment to see us and discuss the options.
